Teri Jo Riet's Obituary
Teri Jo Riet born October 9,1963 To H. John and Marjean Davies Riet, passed away peacefully in her sleep November 9, 2020.
Teri grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. She spent her young life as a dancer and gymnast and at the age of 7 was awarded the title of Miss Acrobat of Utah. Teri married R. Ben Warner two times in her life and although both ended in divorce they remained close friends and she took any opportunity to have a guitar jam with Ben. Together they had one daughter Brandy Lee Warner. 22 years later she had her second daughter Ivy Alexis Stewart and she treasured both her girls so much!
Teri was an accomplished guitar player and beautiful singer. She loved to paint whether pictures or ceramics her work was unique and stunning. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, Chevy Chase ward and had many friends there she cared about. Teri had such incredible love for all animals her fur babies Zayda, Khloe and Lairy were her close companions. We know she is rejoicing today in being reunited with Fatty, Auggie and Jackson. Teri was the sound tech for the Academy of Performing Arts for several years and she made many of her life-long friends from her time spent there.
Teri treasured her time with her family. She loved anytime she could spend with her daughters, her precious grand-kids Aubree, Arlo, Oliver and Henlee and visiting either by phone or in person with her sisters, nieces and nephews. She had an amazing ability to give compassion and service. Even living in her modest situation she would offer a place to stay or the last of her food if she thought you needed it. Teri’s last days were spent side by side with her daughter Ivy who was caring for her daily needs. They spent time laughing, talking or watching movies. The echoes of Teri's Life, Love, Compassion, Music and Songs will go on in our hearts. Strum on Mom! keep “Wishin on the moon” until we are together again.
