Steven Dean Pyper, age 59, passed away at his home on October 14, 2020. He was born on May 4, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Naomi Stevens Pyper and Dean Ronald Pyper. He was married to Sandra Diane (Crichton) Pyper, she preceded him in death on December 17, 2013.
It is with broken hearts and immeasurable grief we share with you the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and lifelong friend Steven Dean Pyper. Steve was a born and raised in South Salt Lake to Dean R Pyper and Naomi Stevens. His sister Geri (Marsha) shared a loving bond that has lasted a lifetime. After graduating from Granite High, Steve married the love of his life Sandra Diane (Crichton) Pyper, December 19th 1981, after only six weeks . They were the very definition of what a marriage should be. They took care of one another . ALways had one another's back, to anyone, no matter what. True SOULMATES AND IT SHOWED. His work ethic was admirable, mostly managing restaurants, he was an excellent employee and fully dedicated to helping his employer prosper. Together with Sandee they raised three children: Timothy "Chadd" Ellis, Samantha Jayne Pyper, and Stacee Audell Pyper. Never did he miss a school concert, a play, parent teacher conference or any other function. Not once did we ever question what was important. Steven went on to have five grandchildren. Timothy "Nicholas" Ellis, Damian Steven Connary Washburn, Brittyn Shellaine Pyper Chase, Jaidyn Alivia Pyper Chase and Pyper Willow Connary Sitts. They will not know his presence nor will their memories be as plenty as we hoped but we are grateful for the time he was able to know and love each ONE OF THEM. A celebration of life will be held at his home 285 East 2400 South on the evening of Friday, October 30, 2020.
