Sheree Lee Fontenot's Obituary
On Friday, April 14, 2023, Sheree Lee Fontenot passed away at her home in Kearns, UT at the age of 63 due to an ongoing battle with cancer. Sheree was born on April 7, 1960, in Salt Lake City, UT to James A. Fontenot and Renea B. Duncombe Fontenot. Sheree married David Barber on July 5, 2002.
Sheree was an interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing through Workforce Service of Utah where she gained many friends over the years. She also cared for her husband David until his death and cared for her mother until her death. Sheree was a very devoted wife and daughter.
Sheree loved disco dancing and disco music much to the chagrin of her brother and played the clarinet in her high school marching band. She loved singing in the choir.
Every summer Sheree would organize a rafting trip down the Green River with all her friends.
Sheree enjoyed gardening, planting beautiful flowers and bird watching. When David and Sheree first purchased their home, they had the most sought-after yard in the neighborhood. Their yard was beautiful and full of life with birds, koi fish in their pond and dogs in their yard.
Sheree is survived by her dog and brother Ricky. Predeceased by her husband David 3/7/2017, father James 7/29/2007 and just recently her mother Renea 11/18/2022.
Sheree's wish was to be cremated. There will be no services.
