Rebecca Anne Mills' Obituary
Rebecca Anne Mills, age 42, passed away Friday, January 25 at her home from a pulmonary thrombotic embolism. She was born September 27, 1980 to Catherine (Craig) Liston and Brian (Julie) Mills at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Ut. She was a 1998 graduate from Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah. Rebecca had not been working in the past few years and was on disability for multiple physical health and mental health issues. Before that she worked many years in retail management.
Rebecca was a very sweet, genuine, loving, and caring woman. Within a minute of speaking to her she would always compliment something about your outfit, makeup, or hair. She always had nice things to say. She was not judgmental and she loved everyone unconditionally. In her spare time she loved playing her violin which she played all through junior and high school. She also had a neat hobby of using a razor and carving Ivory soap into various figurines. She also loved anything to do with beads, taking her son to the park, and just spending time with family.
Rebecca's 7 year old son, Timothy was her pride and joy. She loves that boy so much and it showed. Timmy was diagnosed with Autism when he was 4 years old. Rebecca made sure that he had all the help he could get so that he could live a nice productive life. She was dedicated to making sure that Timmy had the best start to life. She had therapists in her house daily for many hours. It was a lot of hard work, but she always interacted with the therapists and she never once complained. Timothy is a savant, which basically means he has a remarkable memory. She took so much pride in having a genius for a son.
Rebecca had many hard struggles in her life. Nobody should have had the struggles that she had. This past year was very hard on her. The thing about Rebecca was that no matter how hard things were and what challenges she faced she never complained or backed down to give up. She was always "Big and Brave and Strong". That is what my mom would say to always encourage her to keep on the right path. And she was.
Rebecca is survived by her son Timothy Joseph Hunt and his father, her partner, Jeffrey Ryan Hunt. Her parents Catherine and Craig Liston and Brian and Julie Mills. Her siblings Jessica, Bonnie, Shane(Lindsey), and Michelle and several nieces and nephews, as well as aunts and uncles and cousins. We will all miss her so very much!
Rebecca is preceded in death by her two brothers in laws; Bryon John Roberts(12/21/21) and Skyler Justin Vinson(11/10/21).
Please join our family in remembering and celebrating Rebecca's life. Everyone is welcome. A memorial dinner service will be held in her honor on Friday, February 24th from 6-8pm. This will be located at the West Point 16th Ward, West Point Lakeside Stake, located at 855 North 4000 West, West Point, Utah, 84015.
