Ralph Christopher Simmons, born on July 27th, 1985, in Grants Pass, Oregon, unexpectedly departed from this world on October 18th, 2023, in his home in Magna, Utah. Chris, as he was affectionately known, was a cherished individual whose departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Debra June Simmons and Ace Deuce Simmons, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents, his uncle Gary McGowan, and numerous other beloved family members. Despite the sorrow that accompanies his passing, Chris leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
He is survived by his sisters, Brandi Porter, Holly Porter, Michelle (Sheila) Aaron-Simmons and family, and his brother, Ace Jr. (Angela) Simmons, and family. Chris adored his nieces Emilee (Brad) Kresser, Katelynn (Aj Mose) Lee, his nephew Taylor Lee, and his great-niece Paisley June Kresser, whom he affectionately referred to as his "brats." His nieces and nephews were his pride and joy, bringing immeasurable happiness into his life.
Chris had a vast network of cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends, too numerous to mention, all of whom held a special place in his heart. His love extended far beyond blood relations, embracing a wide circle of individuals who felt the warmth of his compassion.
Known for his infectious kindness, Chris was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a heart that overflowed with love for everyone he encountered, striving to make each day a little brighter for those around him. His generosity was boundless, often giving the shirt off his own back to ensure the well-being of others.
A mischievous prankster, the memory of Chris's playful antics will be forever cherished. Friends and family will fondly recall the suspense of wondering if he would appear around a corner, ready to deliver a lighthearted scare. His great sense of humor brought joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to share in his company.
Chris had a passion for crafts, with a special love for making jewelry. His eclectic taste in music spanned various genres, and he held a particular fondness for the legendary Dolly Parton. Nature held a special place in his heart, as evidenced by his love for animals, particularly turtles. He found joy in tending to plants and exploring the art of gardening. Baking was another of his many talents, as he delighted in creating delicious treats for his loved ones.
The legacy of Ralph Christopher Simmons is one of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his impact on the lives of those around him will endure through the stories and memories shared by friends and family. Though he may no longer be physically present, the love he shared will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who were touched by his remarkable spirit. Rest in peace, dear Chris, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
