Pat Devlin's Obituary
Pat Devlin, age 71 lost her battle to cancer on Tuesday, February 20th 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pat was born on February 5th, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to Betty Grace Brackett and George Gordon Devlin.
Pat grew up in Costa Mesa, California, where she enjoyed spending time at the beach and visiting Disneyland. She was a sports enthusiast she loved NASCAR and was a big fan of the Anaheim Angels; she referred them as “my Angels”. Pat graduated from Costa Mesa High School and attended Orange Coast College.
Pat had a long career in mental health; she worked at Fairview State Hospital for 20+ years. Pat moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in the late 90’s and continued her career at The University Of Utah.
Pat was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. She had a big heart and did everything she could to help both people and animals in need.
Pat had a way of connecting with people and created strong bonds with friends and co-workers. Pat loved to laugh, and her laugh was infectious! She was the kind of person you met, and had an instant friend. Though her family was gone, she adopted many new family members, and we adopted her. She was a friend, a sister, a mom, and aunt and a grandmother. We will miss her dearly.
Her mother and father, and her brother, Terry Devlin, precede Pat in death.
An informal open house will be held to celebrate Pat’s life on Saturday, May 12th, from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm at one of Pat’s favorite places:
2891 E. Ksel Dr.
Sandy, UT 84092
