Norm hired me as a law clerk when I was in law school. What a fantastic opportunity. I worked with him on several matters, but one case in particular comes to mind. It involved immigrant homeowners in a condo association who were treated extremely poorly by their association. I was impressed with his skills as an attorney and his tenaciousness in ultimately succeeding in this case amidst strong opposition from a well-funded and insurance-appointed law firm, as I recall. Norm had such compassion for his clients. Amidst intense competition for a limited number of attorney jobs, his clerkship helped me obtain a job offer from a great law firm. I am forever thankful for Norm's generosity and mentorship in my first job in the legal profession, which has spanned almost 30 years so far. I also recall how much Norm adored his daughter, Leslie. Whenever she came up in a conversation, he couldn't help but smile.
Norm, my thoughts and prayers are with you, Leslie, and the rest of your family. Thank you. John Carver
