Uncle Mike,
Today would have been your birthday. I just wanted to remember you for the very sweet things you did. My Uncle was a very sweet misunderstood man. He was feeding ferril( ferall) cats all around the complex that he lived in. I remember he when he sent me pictures of this beautiful orange tabby cat he named Red. She had bright green eyes. He called her" his gal". Uncle Mike was a tall man with a very big heart. When we would speak on the phone, we talked at least an hour. He was concerned that my cellphone bill was going to be expensive. I told him that I was charged the same amount each month. I don't think he believed me. He would send me birthday cards with fuzzy kittens on the front and inside it said" This reminds me of you". Then he would send me a monetary gift. Sometimes he sent them out of the blue. He screened his calls. When he heard my voice, 8 times out of 10 he would pick it up. I would tell him to ring twice and hang up. Then, I'd call him back.
My Uncle Mike had siblings. He had a Sister Geraldine. ( Aunt Gerry) her Husband Uncle John. My Father Ronald. He had 2 nieces Nancy and myself. He had a lot of nephews. Jimmy, Jerry, Tommy, Steven John and another John ( my Brother). We all loved him very much. He was extremely kind and sweet.
