Leslie Dean Burnham's Obituary
Leslie Dean Burnham, age 84, passed away on January 15, 2020 at his home in West Jordan, Utah due to natural causes. He was born on November 30, 1935 in Jerome, Idaho to Ruth Ostler and Lynn Wilden Burnham.
Leslie was born and raised on a farm in Idaho. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New England States Mission (Nova Scotia, Canada). He was married and later divorced. He was a truck driver for Wycoff and Utah Highway Contractors. He was a volunteer for Tiny Tim's where he built wooden cars and toys for needy children all over the world. He was known for never leaving home without a toy truck in his pocket, so that he could give it to a child in need. He painted hop scotch and basketball keys. He was devoted to the Church, his family and temple work.
He is survived by Renn M Burnham (Jeanette), son; Travis J Burnham (Helga), son; Janelle Gilbert, daughter; Rhonda Burnham, daughter; Nicole Burnham, daughter; Trevor Burnham, son. Grandchildren: Kylie, Ryan, Dean, Troy, Shawn, Trish, Rhett, Gwen, Maddy, Stephanie, Alicia, Spencer, Casey, Austin, Kaydra, Jayden, and Jaylyn. Great-granchildren: Holly, Scarlet, Deklin, Milo, Cora, Finly, Raelynn, Thomas, and Sophia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Burnham.
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 5:00-5:45 pm, with Funeral service to follow from 6:00-7:00 pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088).
Interment will take place at Jerome Cemetery, Idaho on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
