Kolby Houston Roloff's Obituary
KOLBY HOUSTON ROLOFF passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 19, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1990.
Kolby was the son of Holly and Richard Roloff and Mike and Rhonda McKinnon. His siblings included Carly, Josh, and Zack. Kolby adored his Doodle dog, Katee, with whom he loved playing ball.
Kolby started skiing at age three and immediately fell deeply in love with the sport. In particular, he adored Big Air slope-style rails and skiing backward as fast as possible. His adoration quickly turned into a daily obsession.
By just age 16, he was sponsored by Head Ski Company, DNA clothing, and LINE SPX Clothing. Kolby won countless competitions in first place, including the Wasatch Freestyle Competition, the Suzuki Slopestyle Competition, and he won 14 DNA Summer Rail Jam West Coast competitions… and the list goes on!!!
At age 20, Kolby was in a car accident which unfortunately left him with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury that permanently altered the rest of his life. His existence from then on became extremely difficult. Now that he is at rest, he is finally free.
In heaven, Kolby will happily be greeted by his previous favorite dog, the loving giant named Eddie. He will also joyously reconvene with his Grandparents Francine and Bob Harkness, his Grandma KayKay, and his Uncle Rick. He will also be hanging out with his buddy, Little Man Josh.
Rest In Peace, my Sweet Boy! We all love you!
