Kathryn Edith Furlong's Obituary
Kathryn Edith Furlong, 61, returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on June 11, 2017, at home surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with breast cancer.
She was born July 3, 1955 in Rome, New York to John Smego and Ellen Parry. Upon graduating high school in Pennsylvania, she attended Ricks College in Rexsberg, Idaho. While there she chose to serve a full time mission and was promptly called to the Louisville, Kentucky mission.
On July 12, 1979 she was sealed to her eternal companion Jeffery Douglas Furlong. Together they raised four daughters, Cori (Josh) Miskin, Rachel (Time Sparrow) Furlong, Danielle (Thomas) Enlow and Nikki Furlong. They together have six beautiful grandchildren, Alee, Jac, Max, Taylor, Aiden, and Hadlee.
Kathy was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she held many callings in both Primary and Relief Society.
She Loved and enjoyed her family very much, which also included her many goats and plethora of other animals.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, father, and grandparents.
She is survived by her Husband, Daughters, Grandchildren, and her two Brothers Skip Smego of Pennsylvania and Mark Smego of Flordia.
She will be painfully missed, but are thankful she is no longer in pain. We are comforted with the fact we will see her again.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at the Honeyville Chaple at 1pm.
