Justin Joseph Vigil's Obituary
Justin, JV, was born on February 9, 1973 to Jose Jesus Vigil and Carolyn Sue Beal Vigil in Granger, Utah, and he died in his home in Kearns, Utah on December 5, 2020.
Justin loved his family and friends, especially his daughter Emery whom he was extremely proud of and her academic accomplishments. Justin’s best friends were his dogs, Oakley, Ollie, Koda, and his dad, Joe. Justin loved, and was well known throughout his Kearns community, by walking his dogs, meeting neighbors, walking daily to Stan’s Market, and becoming a regular at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center. Justin loved spending time with his immediate family, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends at family gatherings, holidays, and football and baseball parties.
He was an avid sports fan with loyalties to the Green Bay Packers, Oakland Athletics, Utah Jazz, and most of all the University of Utah Utes in which he, his brothers, sister, dad, and his aunts, uncles and cousins have enjoyed over 20 years as season football ticket holders. Justin was also a talented baseball and softball player who earned several accolades for team championships and league batting titles. He was always an All Star player. He played on The Bud Studs and his family softball team, named The Vigilantes.
He loved Star Wars as a kid and had an impressive collection of toys. He was an avid reader who recorded the books he read in journals. He was a creative cook, making delicious meals with whatever he had on hand. Justin loved camping and once camped an entire summer at Echo Lake, fishing, hiking, skiing and living large.
Justin is survived by his parents, Joe and Carolyn, his daughter Emery (Mike), his dog Ollie, little sister Adalina (Charles), little brother Terrence (Kara) and baby brother Shenon, nieces, Cierra, Persephone and Arya and his grandmother Barbara Nano Beal as well as many loved friends and family.
