Joseph Maddera's Obituary
Joseph Maddera passed away on June 14, 2017 at his home after a brief but hard fought battle with cancer. He was born March 27, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arleen Mary Bullick and Frank Dale Maddera. He is one of three children. A whirlwind force of nature, Joey was constantly in motion. Either working on a project that brought him pride in knowing it was a job well done, tending his yard ensuring its lush beauty, and scouring the thrift stores for the next big find; shopping brought out his inner child. He loved spending summer days on his boat waiting to hook the coveted tagged big one and spending time with his many grandchildren which filled his heart with joy. We will miss his smile, gruff voice and big heart.
Survived by his father, wife and four children, two step-children, brother Frank Nick (Julie), sister Marcie Ann Rogers (Dennis), seventeen grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, his faithful side kick Karma and his “brother from another mother” Mark Rice. Preceded in death by his mother.

“I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray: When in the Lord’s great landing net and peacefully asleep, that in His mercy I be judged big enough to keep.”
