Joseph N. Cummings' Obituary
Joseph Newton Cummings was born in Rochester New York. He moved to Utah as a child where he grew up with seven siblings. Joseph attended East High School. In 1968 he married Silvia, the love of his life and bride of 54 years.
Joe and Silvia had three children, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Joe spent most of his life driving a tour bus which he enjoyed very much. This career allowed him to take Silvia on many trips across the United States. One of their favorite places to visit together was the black hills of South Dakota where Silvia was sure to get a new piece of jewelry as a gift.
Joe enjoyed cooking and he was a master chef to all who knew him. Nobody went hungry or thirsty when Joe was around. He also loved playing horseshoes with his friends and family. As a young man, Joe could be found lifting weights and flexing his muscles while showing off. He was also a master of dirty jokes which Silvia rarely approved of him telling.
Joe struggled with health problems for years but was a courageous fighter. We always thought he’d live forever. Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, you are loved and will be dearly missed by all.
Until we meet again.
