James Calvin Wren's Obituary
Jimmy’s obituary: The Lion Heart
James Calvin, “Jim" Wren, a beloved husband and father went home to his heavenly father on July 12th 2019, after a long battle with several illnesses. He was the son of a minister, in which rebellious Nature’s can sometimes develop, when that happens to be the situation. He learned of God through his dad, who was a devout minister and had learned that the family unit was the most important thing upon this Earth. For by strengthening and loving your family, it would surely be a shield from the negative influences of the world. In No Doubt, he was the star of attention growing up and even to his dying day, by the actions that he would sometimes display. But as a real man, those things would always take second place, when it came to being there for his family. He was a pillar in the community and loved his neighbors and made it a point to get to know them for they became family to him as well . He loved BBQ’s, a Corona beer and to just putter around his yard with friends and family and you could always hear the Blues playing in the background, and Monday night Blues on KRCL, was one of his favorites. He was not a soft-spoken person but in fact had a booming voice that was very contagious and he loved to joke and make others laugh and only wanted to give all he had for those he loved. His daughter Olivia was his Jewel, his employ, was how he showed his love to his wonderful wife, in trying to give her the security and the things she wanted and would need should he ever have to leave this realm. Though he had many friends because of his nature, he only chose a few to call his friend. Cecil, was his longtime best friend and loved him very much and also the handful that he had at Staker Parsons were to be known as his second family. In which they had cherished him as well because of his work ethics in doing nothing short of 100%. After his physical complications seven years ago it eventually took him away from working, a decline in his health had started, in which he just could not seem to pull out of it. Pain is a vicious enemy and even though he was plagued with it, you could not tell by his love for his family and close friends. Though lack of work, it would not put out the fire for him and his wife Deborah, in always being there for the downtrodden and was evident in the way they lived their lives and the souls that they touched, by feeding the hungry, Sheltering the homeless and clothing the naked. By opening their home with hope to help all. Not to mention the Stray animals as well. What else can one expect in being the Son of a Preacher! He will be missed by all those that he touched and now has his reward by no longer being in the pain that racked his body daily without ceasing. Truly a sun from behind the clouds, and he will always be, “the wind beneath,” Debby and Olivia’s wings!
His service will be held on Sunday the 21st of July Between 1:00PM-2:00PM
At Living In Truth: 1775 South 4130 W. Suite G, S.L.C.,84104
