Ernest Richard Dakolios Jr, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024. He was born on December 30, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to Ernest and Wanda Dakolios.
Ernest, or Big Rich as he was known to his family and friends, was a man of many talents. He had a knack for bringing laughter into the lives of those around him, with a sometimes inappropriate but always funny sense of humor. Big Rich knew how to have a fun time. Often known for his neon color shirts or hats became a known statement for him.
A resolute worker, Big Rich took immense pride in his work ethic. He spent many years in the family construction business, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all who collaborated with him. Later in life, he transitioned to a career in commercial truck driving.
More than anything else, Big Rich cherished his family, and he was an animal lover and loved his dogs. He was a father, and grandfather, finding immense joy in the role of "Papa" to his beloved grandchildren.
Though he was not without his flaws, Big Rich’s love was unconditional and unwavering.
Ernest Richard Dakolios Jr leaves behind love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
