Our hearts are broken. We will miss Den's wonderful sense of humor, his memory and gift for storytelling, and his gruff-on-the-outside but sweet-and-caring on the inside manner. We will miss him in his seat at the old-timer table. We are so grateful to be able to get to know him since he came back to Utah to live down the hill from us. We love him deeply! He will be greatly missed until we see him again!

I grew up near Dennis when he lived on 10th west in SLC. We attended Onequa, Jackson Jr High and West High together. When we graduated in 1962, he joined the Navy very soon thereafter. I joined the Navy on June 21st. I looked for him at bootcamp as we were there at the same time, but never found him. I wondered what he did in the Navy, but more so what happened to him after. I looked for his information in the west high alumni book but no one knew where he was or what happened to him. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. I wish we could have met again/
