In Memory of David Matthew Meschnark. May he R.I.P. now.🙏 Love Always, Sharon.💕
Sadly, David was estranged from his family prior to his death & family was not made aware of his passing until months afterward. For those who may not have known David well, he was Born on December 20, 1959 in Hawthorne, Nevada to Raymond Sr & Colleen Meschnark. He spent most of his early & some of his later years in Henderson & Las Vegas, Nevada, but he had also resided in Arizona & Washington State, in addition to his last known address in Grantsville, Utah. David attended Basic HS in Henderson, NV & graduated in 1977. He loved sports, was an Honor student & was fluent in Spanish. His parents divorced before I met him & his childhood was difficult at times from what I was told. He was previously married soon after HS to Diane & adopted her daughter Kari Ann in 1980, but separated permanently shortly before moving to Arizona around 1981. I met David in Arizona in 1982 on Halloween night at a “Who” Concert at ASU Stadium & we fell in love soon after. We were together from 1982 to 1989, had our son Jason Matthew in May 1988, but we also separated a year later. David worked mainly in construction for most of his life, an expert in masonry, but also a “Jack of all Trades”. He built the back room addition on our former Arizona home in 1986. Some of his best attributes were his outgoing, fun-loving, charismatic personality, along with his cute dimples & big smile. He was always the life of the party & loved to joke. Even though David was absent for much of my son’s life after age 1, except for a few visits as Jason grew older, he was a good father in the beginning. I know in my heart that David loved Jason very much and just wanted the best for him, but didn’t know how to provide that for him or me. Sadly, David never got to meet or know his grandson Ben (Jason’s Son) either, except through photos shared with him.
David is survived by our Son Jason, Grandson Benjamin, 3 older brothers Roger, Steven, Allen, 1 younger sister Christina & numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Colleen and 3 older brothers, Jeffrey, Glenn & Raymond.
I went through photos I had of David, sent them to Christina & posted some below. This is how I have chosen to remember him. David’s sister Christina is hoping to have a Memorial Service for David in the near future in Nevada. Prayers for his Family left behind.🙏🙏🙏🙏
