Dan Quint Taylor's Obituary
Dan Quint Taylor, 76, passed away on May 02, 2017 at his home in Draper, Utah. He was born on DEC 12, 1940 in Pecos, TX to Dan and Thelma Taylor.
Dan grew up in Kermit, Texas until age 15. He then moved to Springville, Utah where he graduated from Springville High School in 1959. After high school he attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah on a football scholarship. He then got a scholarship to play football for BYU in Provo, Utah where he received a Bachelor in Physical Education. He worked as a coach and teacher for Bountiful High in Bountiful, Utah. After teaching he opened his own paint contracting business and worked there for over 40 years. When he retired he substituted/coached high school.
He enjoyed tennis, pickle ball, motorcycling, and camping. He also received multiple awards in High School and college for football and track and field.
Dan is survived by his son, Blake Taylor of Gainesville, Virginia; his daughter Alecia Taylor of Heber, Utah; his grandson Javan Taylor of Draper, Utah; his granddaughter Briella Taylor of Gainesville, Virginia.
Dan was preceded in death by siblings, Mike Taylor, Mary Witzel, Martha Singleton, and Melvin Taylor.
A life celebration has been change to be held at South Mountain Church 14216 South Bangerter Parkway Draper, UT 84020 on May 13th from 12:00 - 3:30 PM.
