Arthur Hyrum Hudson's Obituary
Arthur Hyrum Hudson "Hy" of Taylorsville, Utah, left this Earth on April 17th, 2023 surrounded by his loving Family. Hy was born on February 20th, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Art and Effie Hudson.
He graduated from South High School, where he played both Baseball and Football, and was an incredible Athlete. Hy was involved in the Car Business as both a Salesmen, and Manager for over 50 years, where he made countless friends, almost every customer he dealt with became his lifelong friend due to his honesty and compassion for what he loved to do.
Hy was also involved in the Bowling Business for just as many years, and played a very important role in the Salt Lake Bowling Association. He was the owner, and operator of Hy Hudson's Pro Shop at Ritz Classic. His passion, determination, and drive made such an impact in the Bowling world, as well as the Car Industry that will never be forgotten, his legacy will continue to live on.
Some of Hy's greatest achievements was Bowling on the Senior Pro Tour, winning countless bowling tournaments, being inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame, past President of SLC Bowling Association, sponsoring the youth through scholarships and funding, and being such an incredible teacher and mentor to the youth.
Hy is survived by his loving wife, and best friend of 44 years Ingrid Hudson, Brother Jack Hudson, Son Shane (Michelle) Hudson, Son Brock (Suzie) Hudson, Son Troy (Dawnelle) Haddow, Daughter Cindy (Kent) Clifford, Daughter Heidi Lynn Haddow, and Daughter Megan (Don) Holley, his Beautiful Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren that he adored tremendously, as well as his two fur babies.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Art and Effie Hudson, Son Troy (Kathy) Hudson, Daughter Teri Hudson, Sister Jeanette Hudson, and Brother Harry (Enid) Hudson.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Monday, April 24th from 6-8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT. 84123. Cremation Services have been provided by Wiscombe Memorial.
Hy's infectious Smile, Compassion, and zest for life will be deeply missed beyond measure, we love you more than words could ever express, until we meet again.
