Althea Larae Seeyouma-Denet's Obituary
Althea Larae Seeyouma-Denet
A Beloved grandmother, mother, sister and friend passed away on October 28th 2021. Born in California in September of 1963 to Ray and Alta Seeyouma. Preceded in Death by her husband Earl Denet. Survived by her children Joey, Dennise, Dustin, Ray and her four grandchildren.
Althea was selfless, loving and had a laugh that could be heard across a room. She found happiness serving the homeless community and bringing awareness to different causes such as Standing Rock and Missing Murdered Indigenous Women. Althea devoted her life to her children. She could be found at Pow-Wows with her son. She embarrassed her other two sons from the sidelines because she could be heard cheering them on through the crowd. She was her daughter's teacher but the teacher of independence and fearlessness. As a friend, Althea became a mother figure to many, had an open heart and could see your value and remind you of it.
When you think of Althea, celebrate all the good memories you have of her.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date and will be buried in Arizona. Please watch Althea's Facebook page for updates.
