Adam Craig Baxter's Obituary
Adam Craig Baxter was born on January 16, 1976 in Portland, Oregon to Craig and Ruth Baxter. He passed away from this mortal life unexpectedly on April 10, 2017 in Sandy, Utah at the age of 41.
During high school, Adam was able to live with his Grandma Vvs in Milford, Utah and was the star football athlete. He then moved back to Sandy and graduated from Alta High School in 1994. Adam always had a beautiful side that he used to create art. He was talented in many ways.
As Adam grew and matured, his creativity moved from art to food. He was able to take ingredients and put together an amazing meal and loved to cook for family and friends. He loved to put together impromptu BBQ’s and man the grill or throw together chile verde for everyone. Adam was always able to bring life to the party and make others laugh. Adam’s smile and laughter would light up a room. He had humor that would make people fall off their chairs laughing.
Adam was smart and talented! When he put his mind to something, he would accomplish it! Whether that was a fitness plan or passing the NAVY BUDS test and then later, passing his EMT exam. He enjoyed helping others and most of the activities he found passion in, were in helping others or creating joy for others.
Adam was a son, a brother, an uncle, a great-uncle, a grandson, a nephew, and a friend to many. Although his journey had many different paths in his life, he was always loved by everyone. Adam is loved and missed greatly, but we are comforted to know that he is in the arms of our Lord and in peace and surround by family and friends that have left this world before him.
Adam is survived by his parents, Craig Baxter and Ruth Baxter-Hymel (John Hymel); siblings, Tyler Baxter (Donna), Troy Baxter, Bryce Baxter (Holly), and Lindsey Baxter. Adam is preceded in death and welcomed home by his grandparents Vvs and Harold Baxter and Ethel Richter-Steinke and Alfred Steinke.
A Celebration of Life for Adam will be held on April 22, 2017 at Stonebridge Golf Club located at 4415 W. Links Dr. (2400 S.), West Valley City, UT 84120 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. There will be a program and dedication to celebration Adam from 4:30-5:30 p.m., followed by Hors d'oeuvres and a time to share memories with family and friends of our beloved Adam.
