To Sarah's Family,
The sorrow and loss that is felt with your family is immeasurable. I hope you know and can feel that. She had so many friends who loved her so. I will carry Sarah with me until the end of my days. She was one of a kind and unforgettable. I wish you could hear all of the conversations going around between her EMS family and I hope you can feel the light and love of the smiles and laughter that those conversations have brought forth. With so much sadness and heaviness of her passing, the knowledge of her joy, her uniqueness and her FABULOUSNESS is by far what is thought of the most. I hope you knew the Sarah that we all did. She was fierce and unstoppable. I have never met someone so determined and so SURE of what she was meant to do and who she was meant to be. No matter how many times she would be knocked down, she was up and more determined than ever. I promised her many years ago that if she worked harder than she had ever worked , that together we would make her a Paramedic. the endless hours that she put in and the hours and hours of teaching her, being her worst enemy and her best of friends. I learned who Sarah was, and I learned Sarah's heart. She WON, every time, no matter what was in her path. And her path was unlike anyones, she made her own for sure. What she did not realize, is that each and every one of her EMS family, who called her friend, were the winners, we hit the jackpot by being her friend. Our lives were and are better because she was "ours" and she was here. So in this time of grief, I want to say on behalf of her EMS Family, Thank you for sharing this most remarkable soul, and thank you for creating this beautiful girl who has left a mark on each one of us.
