News "Two fires broke out in the City of Eureka on Tuesday morning."

At around 10 a.m., the first fire was reported at a home near the intersection of Harris and A streets. Video obtained from witness Kate Newton shows the fire impacting the home's side roof.

Shortly after, another fire broke out at the intersection of Broadway and McCullens, across from Buck's Sporting, involving a truck. Video obtained by Kyle Ray shows emergency crews at the scene working to extinguish the flames. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

News: Flooding death toll reaches 64, Veracruz most affected with 29 dead, 18 still missing. The death toll from incidents related to flooding in Mexico last week has risen to 64, the federal government reported on Monday morning October 13th 2025.

An additional 65 people are missing, indicating that the number of rain-related fatalities is likely to continue to rise.

Ace Frehley, who co-founded Kiss and served as the band’s original guitarist for years, has died. He was 74.

The musician’s family announced the news in an emotional statement on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Hours before the news of Frehley’s passing, it was revealed that the former Kiss rocker had been placed on life support with a brain bleed following a scary fall he suffered in his studio last month.

The “Rock and Roll All Nite” guitarist first caused concern last month after announcing that he couldn’t make a performance in California scheduled for Sept. 26 because he suffered “a minor fall in his studio”
that resulted “in a trip to the hospital.”

Born Paul Daniel Frehley in the Bronx, the guitarist was introduced to music at an early age.
