I am so sorry to hear about Mike. I have wondered about him when thinking about the old Abbott days in the molding department. I did chuckle several times reading the obit because it did bring memories of him back. Stubborn, prideful, pain in the butt, and kind. He always wanted to treat those on his crew with complete fairness. I enjoyed him a lot. And I do also remember is devotion to Mary. I went to see Elton John in concert when he was in Salt Lake. I knew Mike was a huge fan and wouldn't you know it, I spotted him about 4 rows in front of me. Luckily, I was also several seats to his right. Can you imagine Mike at an Elton John concert? Standing up the whole time swaying back and forth, oblivious to the people behind him. The next day at work we had a great laugh. My condolences to all of Mike's family and friends

Do you all remember, I think it was Jellysyone, we were making breakfast for everyone and mom was scrambling probably a billion eggs and Mike insisted that the eggs have to have onions? Mom told him “not everyone wants onions Mike so no”. He got his high pitched voice out and was like “what? No onions? I have to have onions. I can’t believe we’re having eggs without onions” ....Mom put onions in his! Lol!
It’s still not real.. I remember when Supernatural first started airing, and we would fight over who got the tv, because it was on at the same time as Smallville. My life would have been lacking in so many wonderful things if it weren’t for Uncle Mike. I don’t know what to say, except I will really miss him, and will always cherish the memories I have of him.
