Kevin Terrell Thompson
January 5, 1965 - May 6, 2022
Kevin Terrell Thompson, son, father, grandfather, auto enthusiast and professional truck driver passed away peacefully Friday, May 6th, 2022 after a series of long illnesses. Kevin was always proud to have graduated from South High School and was just as proud when South High graduated to a Community College. His career as a professional truck driver spanned over 35+ years without any accidents. He had brief stints of "trying something else", inattentively because the "road kept calling". His dream was to drive with his son and he was especially happy when his son Anthony became a drive at Cowan where his career ended. Kevin had a love of cars, trucks, motorcycles, trains and model building. He enjoyed the rows of vintage cars and trucks at local car shows and time to time he would enter his own vehicle in Sportsman categories. Talking cars, working on cars and teaching is son about cars and how to fix them was a joy for him. Some of his fondest memories were racing and dragging State Street in his younger years and chasing girls with various friends. He enjoyed his 47 year long friendship with Richard and his many longtime friends. He fondly remembers his motorcycle trips in his leather vest that brought out his inner badass. The great loves of his life were his Nissan Mini Truck, Harley Davidson Wide Glide, 1983 Z28 Camaro and 2012 Ford F-350 Power Stroke. He is proceeded in death by his mother Lois Thompson and friend Tom Archuleta. Survived by his brother Jeff (Carmen), son Jamison, son Anthony (Amber Lynne), daughter Raven (Fernando). Grandchildren Kendra, Damien, Triton, Rowan, Ryker, Diesel and Jaxon along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held Friday May 13th at 6:30 p.m. Contact the family for details at [email protected]
