Carla was a dear friend and a secretary where we worked together. She did anything for anyone, had a warm sense of humor, gave you a shoulder to cry on and was a sweetheart! We both worked for a boss who was one of the best, and he was very organized and orderly. One day Carla was away from the office, her phone was ringing, her boss was by her desk and so he answered it and looked for a pencil in her desk drawer to write a message. Apparently the pencils were not all together and Larry proceeded to clean and organize Carla’s top desk drawer. I figured he had been up to something when he sheepishly slipped back into his office. Carla let out a surprised remark that sent me to the floor with laughter when she first saw her clean drawer, and to this day when I think about it I still smile! She told Larry she hesitated every time she opened that desk drawer because she felt like she was trespassing on hallowed ground. Carla was always keeping the office in a happy mood. I’ve missed her since her retirement. May her family be blessed with peace and comfort! Until we meet again Carla! Carolyn Johnson’
